Fourth of July

Eagle River hosted fireworks at midnight on July 3rd. Below is a picture of the sky. I was curious to see how Alaska celebrated the Fourth of July, and we discovered that Alaskans definitely get into the Fourth! We went to watch the show and the next day went to Dowtown Anchorage for the Fourth of July Parade. Keyton was also in the parade (front passenger seat in the HMMV).

Artic Thunder Air Show

Fort Elmendorf hosts an air show each year in Anchorage and it is one of the biggest events in the summer. We had the chance to go on a C17 aircraft, which is one of the types of planes Keyton jumps out of. There were displays from all branches of the military. We even had a chance to get some pictures in front of a Coast Guard helicopter.

Where's the snow?

When we think of Alaska we generally think of snow :) Nice to see the green lush grass and blue waters. Looks like you all are enjoying yourself! We miss you already
